Queen of the Castle, I would assume you'd like to know a
little about me. I am originally from Memphis, TN not to
far from Elvis' house. I graduated from Oakhaven Baptist
Academy, goofed around a year or so and then began
following my husband throughout the Marine Corps bases of
California and Millington. He's been everywhere and I've
been to two states always keeping the home fires burning
for his safe return. He recently retired and we settled
here in Memphis to be close to family and to have four
seasons again. We've bought the house we always dreamed
of and for the next ten years or so will be putting on
all the final touches. While my husband was out defending God, Country and Corps, I took up many hobbies including, flower arranging, cross stitching, jig saw cutting, painting, just about anything to help the time go by. Volunteering became a way of life, along with a job, kids, dog, and a home. I have a motto now that was passed on to me in California be some special people: STRESS is what happens when your gut says "no" and your mouth says "of course, I'd be glad to". I will admit that I'm a real sucker for kids and helping them anyway I can and I have with PTA, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, Little League, yearbooks, we've done it all. I am currently the Band Booster Club President at Southwind Middle School. The school is going into its fourth year and the band is wonderful. Not only do we raise funds to keep the band going all through year but; this year, the band will step out in uniforms. So, not only will they sound good but they'll look good too!
